Mahotsavam

The Sadguru Sri SadaSiva Brahmendral Aradhana Mahotsavam is the most sacred annual observance held at Sreemadam Sri Bala Peedam in Derisnamcope. This grand celebration honors the 18th-century mystic and composer, Sadguru Sri SadaSiva Brahmendral, whose spiritual presence is deeply felt within the Peedam. Set against the serene backdrop of the Thadaka mountain range, the festival draws devotees from across the region to participate in a series of powerful Vedic rituals, including the Maha Ganapathi Homam, the Mudra Kaala Yagasalai, and the holy Nathi Theertha Sankarshana. The Mahotsavam is not merely a ritualistic event but a vibrant cultural and spiritual gathering. It features the choral singing of the Saint's timeless compositions, such as "Pibare Rama Rasam," which fills the air with a sense of divine peace. Under the guidance of the Sreemadam Sri Balatripurasundari Seva Trust, the event also emphasizes community service through Annadanam (sacred food offering) and special Poojas dedicated to the presiding deity, Sri Balatripurasundari Ambal. This festival offers a unique opportunity for seekers to immerse themselves in deep meditation and celebrate the living tradition of Indian spirituality.

Navaratri Celebrations

The Navaratri Mahotsavam at Sreemadam Sri Bala Peedam is a vibrant nine-night celebration dedicated to the various forms of the Divine Mother. Throughout this auspicious period, the Peedam is filled with the resonance of Chandi Parayanam and special Alankarams that transform the sanctum into a realm of divine beauty. As the Goddess is worshipped in her forms of Durga, Lakshmi, and Saraswathi, devotees gather to witness the power of the Sri Chakra Pooja and participate in the spiritual energy that culminates in the grand victory of Vijayadashami. The celebrations beautifully weave together ancient tradition and deep-rooted devotion. From the artistic display of the Golu to the soul-stirring Bhajans performed by local seekers, every day offers a unique path to inner peace and wisdom. The festival serves as a powerful reminder of the triumph of light over darkness, inviting every visitor to seek the blessings of Sri Balatripurasundari Ambal for a life filled with spiritual clarity, abundance, and protection.

Margazhi Bhajani Mahotsavam
UPCOMING

Margazhi Bhajani Mahotsavam

The sacred month of Margazhi brings a profound spiritual aura to Sreemadam Sri Bala Peedam, where the tradition of Margazhi Bhajani is upheld with deep devotion. During this Brahma Muhurta period, the cool morning air of Derisnamcope resonates with the rhythmic chanting of the Thiruppavai and Thiruvempavai. This month-long celebration is dedicated to the selfless surrender to the Divine, as devotees gather in the early hours to walk through the village streets and the temple precincts, filling the atmosphere with soul-stirring hymns and the rhythmic beat of the mridangam and cymbals. At the heart of these celebrations is the worship of Sri Balatripurasundari Ambal, whose presence radiates peace and grace during these winter mornings. The Margazhi Bhajani at the Peedam is more than just a musical tradition; it is a spiritual discipline that purifies the mind and unites the community in a shared experience of "Bhakti." The festival culminates in the grand Aarudhra Darisanam, marking a period of renewed faith, internal reflection, and the celebration of the divine light that dwells within all hearts.
